Hello all, I’m Doctor Partheeban We are going to see about Mental health How to have good mental health All of us expect to be calm, stress-free Let us see which activities will lead to calm and happy mind A sound mind gives a Sound body People nowadays are gaining more awareness about wellness Like we can see more number of gyms Many has started to do exercise at home, jogging Still we don’t do any specific exercise for mental health Let see what is the reason behind that The routine life is the reason I would say Wake up, getting ready for work, eating and sleeping we don’t do any activity to relax our People used to relax while having tea, coffee in the morning And in the evenings, we used to walk around Walking is considered to be the King of exercise Walking helps in keeping mental health on line Instead we spend time with mobile, Television Nowadays we often hear about depression, anxiety, and pressure From small kids to teens and elders everybody face these issues It differs on the age, still they all face some mental problems The outcomes due to these issues are considered to be unwanted outrages Unwanted fear, confusion and etc.,. So let’s see what we can do about this Generally people suffering with depression used to be like Frustrated, confused, unstable They will never look out on ways to come out of depression Even If people suggest them to go for doctor, exercise and more they won’t feel like doing them They will be too sensitive to handle Generally people with depression used to have a sluggish liver It will be inadequate and will be more slow in functioning So I would personally suggest to consume foods that improves liver functioning Karisilangani(False Daisy), Keelanelli(Phyllanthus), Turmeric This will aid to proper liver function and that leads to involvement in activities Proper Liver will give us a uprightness It develops our gestures like giving eye contact , face to face conversations And they can also consume stimulating foods which have masalas and good fragrance Non-veg soups, fresh juices, fresh soups Proper walking activities, jogging and other exercises Brisk walking with proper hand movements will get them active This will slowly bring them out of depression Now they should have any hobbies such as They can take up any games,artwork They should make new friends Join few clubs, forums, community When they join together and do few activities It will give a personal satisfaction And the Dinacharya, daily routine in a healthy way will give more confidence Going for counselling Finding the cause of depression and working on it will definitely help The opposite condition of depression is anxiety Like people will start a work, but they’ll never finish it A proverb says;things done anxiously will fail Things done anxiously will never get completed During such time we should be cool and calm Sequencing will help a lot Planning the way how we should work and what next Maintaining diary and going step by step Should be aware of the consequences and they should be ready to face them Following some Calming activities Similar to how we take stimulants for depression, we undertake calmness for anxiety Ashwangandha, Brahmi, Jatamansi Consuming these herbals will work like magic and calms us a lot Nourishing your senses such as Massages Abhiyangam, Navarakeni and other relaxing treatments It will help in soothing your nerves and will be refreshing Meditative practices will also help Self Realization – Letting them know who they are Counselling them in a way – Listening to them Comforting them can help a lot Taking up relaxing activities Spending time in bath tub, swimming, massages will calm down their nerves Foods which have more nutritional contents can be given to them This nutritional foods will really help a lot Can consume more juices Having an oil bath every week should be a mandatory practice Foot bath – fill a tub with hot water(warm) Lavender oil or salt can be added and place the leg every evening This will calm them down a lot And helps to have a tight sleep Counselling is very important for both anxiety and depression In this video we saw about depression and anxiety In coming videos we will see more about Mental Healthness Thank you Like Share and Subscribe to Liveright Ayurveda
