Healthy Acacia Fiber Smoothie Recipe | Plant-Based

– Hi, I’m Rachelle Robinett,
the founder of Supernatural, a plant-based wellness company. I am also an herbalist, and plant-based wellness practitioner. Today we are building one
of my favorite smoothies, the Supernatural Smoothie, that includes acacia fiber
which is a prebiotic fiber that’s fantastic for our gut health. (smooth jazz music) Acacia fiber is one
form of prebiotic fiber. It’s a soluble fiber, and it is the food that our gut bacteria need to live, and we need them to
better digest our food, better absorb it, have
better balanced blood sugar, and energy levels, and mood. So, this is a really important ingredient to include in your life, but especially if you’re
trying to improve gut health and if you’re taking probiotics,
or eating probotic food, and really wanna make the most out that. The right balance of
good bacteria in our gut can equal better digestion,
more stable blood sugar, better energy, more mental clarity, and just a happier,
healthier being overall. This is one of my favorite smoothies, so it’s a really good template
that you can start with, and then customize based on what you like, based on your dietary preferences, and even the time of year. So, changing the fruit,
changing the greens, adding herbs, adding
spices, like cinnamon, more healthy fat, more
fiber, whatever you want. Okay, let’s make our
Supernatural Smoothie. So, we will start with one banana, add a 1/2 bunch spinach, or more. I definitely always use more spinach. Add a 1/2 of a cup of berries,
frozen is totally fine. Add about two tablespoons of acacia fiber, and this is your magic, this
is that prebiotic fiber, that is food for the gut bacteria. Add one tablespoon of
flax, chia, or hemp seeds, and here, we’re just using chia seeds. Add water, about a cup, or you can use something like
