Let’s talk a little bit about a grape fast.
My name is Mark Brinson, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Physical Medicine and Human Performance
Specialist. Many times people choose a juice or a fruit or a combination fast in order
to kind of cleanse a certain area of the body or to kind of break themselves in for a longer
fast or something that has to do with no food whatsoever. A grape fast is a particularly
good one. We’re talking about purple grapes, either purple grape and or grape juice added
to it, that you’re going to take anywhere from 24, 48 or maybe even 36 hours. The idea
behind a grape fast is that whenever you’re hungry you’re going to physically eat grapes,
try to include the seeds as well and when you’re thirsty you’re drinking water or you
can add natural grape juice with no sugar added. What this is going to do, grapes are
particularly good for clearing out the intestines and cleansing the blood. So as they get into
the system and they start to get into the large intestines they, instead of just moving
through or nutrients being sucked into the body, it almost creates a sucking like effect
where things are being pulled, toxins are being pulled out of the body and out through
the intestines. The addition of the grape instead of just the grape juice is going to
add that component of kind of a scrubbing or a slothing that’s going to happen throughout
the large intestines, that’s going to help to clear away any debris that might be there.
So I encourage you to do this, it can be one of the best things that you can do for your
health if done periodically and to keep your intestines and your immune system clean and
clear. My name is Mark Brinson, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Physical Medicine and Human
Performance Specialist wishing you a happy, healthy and balanced day.
